That is kinda creepy, especially since they are full-body suits. If it was just
a costume and a head, that'd be different. These are full costumes, or maybe
just a full-body spandex suit, then you put the clothes and the head on, I
guess. I just know that you can see that there is no human skin showing...which
mean that the people in these suits could be guys...and that is definitely
creepy and scary! Plus, it's just wrong that the only character suit they have
from "Ah! My Goddess" is Peorth...I mean, "Come on!" if you
are only going to have one from that series, it has got to be Belldandy, not
Peorth! LOL ;P
Has anyone here seen or heard about a company called 4Kids buying the rights to
Tokyo Mew Mew....and how they totally screwed it up? They changed everyone's
names and gave them different attitudes...as well as adding their own dialogues
for the characters. They also invented their own ideas of who TMM is fighting
against...no longer are they fighting against aliens, they are fighting some
organization called the "Sakilon Knights" (or something like that).
Really, don't you all hate it when people go and buy rights to a good Anime
series, and then completely mess it up?! I totally hate this. 4Kids, and any
other company who does this, should remember the saying, "If it ain't
broke, don't fix it!" I'm still glad I can find anime on the net and get
it as fansubs that are relatively as close to the original as can be.
I didn't know if this was the right forum to post this in, but since it is
anime-related, I thought it'd probably go here. Anyways, my question is, how
hard are anime figure model kits to put together exactly? I mean, if you can
put together one of those airplane or car model kits you can find at about any
hobby store, should you be able to put together a figure model? You see, I was
thinking of buying one of the kits from here: http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist.cgi?Series=Nurse+Witch+Komugi-chan%0d&Category=Fig&Dis=2
and wondered if maybe they are pretty hard or not. I imagine maybe the hardest
part would be painting the figure expecially the eyes, but I thought I should
ask to see if anyone here has done any of them. Well, please let me know if any
of you can answer my questions. Thanks.
I figured I'd add a little bit more to my previous post, LOL. I kind of think
Chobits is about the same as the Love Hina anime. They both have their
"mature" themes and "perverse" topics, but in alot of ways
it just goes to show that we are all a little "perverse", if you want
to call it that. Is that bad? I don't think so, we can be really good people,
and still be a little weird...so can anime characters. Rethinking about it, I
wouldn't call themes or topics in Chobits perverse at all....I'd say they are
mirroring real people, in real life. That's why I think it is a good anime, you
can identify with it on some level or another. Sorry if I added more than my
"2 cents" to this, I just wanted to participate in the community.
I haven't seen the entire series, but I have watched from the 1st episode up
until episode 23 on On Demand. I don't think it is really that perverted. If
it is perverted at all, it doesn't seem to me to be intentional on the part of
Hideki. That's just my opinion tho. I think it's considered "older
teen" more for the fact that it deals with more mature issues, than it
dealing with perversity.
I'd like a lot of series for Xmas....but my family just wouldn't understand what
and where to look for it, so I just asked for some gift cards, so I can go to
the stores and get it myself. LOL I want The Steel Angel Kurumi box set, I'd
like to get some Chrno Crusade, Nurse Witch Komugi, or maybe the complete set of
Love Hina. Also, I may get the World of Narue set again (I had bought it awhile
back, but sold it). There's also alot more I can't think of right now. LOL.
